- How to convert audio file formats? You can follow the steps below to convert audio formats:
1. Choose an encoder (target format) in the main interface;
2. Open the File menu and choose " Convert Audio Files";
3. In the pop-up window, click the button after "Directory" and choose the folder where your audio files are. The files in the folder will be listed;
4. Select those files you want to convert or click "Select All" button to select all files, then press "Convert" button.
- Xilisoft CD Ripper can't recognize my CD drive, what can I do?
If you can't see your CD drive in the dropdown list, please press "Config" button besides "Device" box, and check "Use Native NT SCSI Library" in the pop-up window. The drive should be in the list. The problem may happen to Win2000 or WinXP.
How users comment?
I've used Ashampoo Media Center, dbPower Converter and Xilisoft CD Ripper. All three are nice. Ashampoo and dbPower are faster and have FLAC suport *but* Xilisoft is by far the more stable and simple to use. The difference is speed is noticable and I do like to use FLAC but, Ogg Vorbis suffices and the stability in operation and tolerance of scratched media makes Xilisoft the winner in my book. Also, their support people respond promptly and knowledgibly to email inquiries. -- Hoser
